ROOTS AND DERIVATIVES

WORD LIST
1. Agenda
a plan of things to be done or problems to be addressed.
Example: My agenda is full of homework assignments that are due the following day

2. Agile: able to move quickly and easily.
Example: My mom is agile when it comes to her cooking because she gets home hungry.

3. Alienate: cause someone to feel isolated or estranged
Example: In high school I see many people alienate others to seem "cool"

4. Altercation: a noisy argument or dissagrement, especially in public.
Example: I once saw a child having an altercation with his mother at the market.

5. Amiable: 
having or displaying a friendly and pleasant manner.

Example: The boy is respected by others because oh his amiable attitude.

6. Amorous: showing, feeling, or relating to sexual desire.
Example: In movies, I always see at least two characters having an amorous affection.

7. Animated: full of life or excitement; lively.
Example: The movie contains a lot of animated characters.

8. Equanimity: mental calmness, composure, and evenness of temper, especially in a difficult situation.
Example: She maintained an equanimity attitude after she was just done hearing bad news.

9. Inalienable: unable to be taken away from or given away by the possessor.
Example: Her research paper was inalienable.

10. Inanimate: not alive, especially not in the manner of animals and humans.
Example: And from then on, he was inanimate.

11. Magnanimous: very generous or forgiving, especially toward a rival or someone less powerful than oneself.
Example: She was a magnanimous person to every one. 

12. Reactionary: (of a person or a set of views) opposing political or social liberalization or reform.
Example: He is a reactionary person in many ways.
